Duration // Schedule

4 years // 1st and 2nd year: between 8AM and 2:30PM | 3rd year. Compulsory subjects: between 3:15PM and 9:45PM | 4th year. Compulsory subjects: between 3:15PM and 9:45PM | 3rd and 4th year: optional subjects: mornings or afternoons, depending on the subject

The University Degree in Industrial Design Engineering trains future professionals to design, re-design, manage and develop products. These skills and techniques allow them to transform a design idea into an industrial solution.

Students learn to analyse and determine the needs of product users, identifying innovation and market opportunities. They do so in a unique framework of synergies between engineering and design which distinguishes the exclusive ELISAVA educational offer. Students acquire the skills necessary to manage resources and social, scientific and technological expertise.


ELISAVA’s Degree in Industrial Design Engineering aims to offer the required knowledge and skills for comprehensively developing a product, from its inception until its launch to market (considering all life cycle phases).


The Degree in Industrial Design Engineering is a four-year programme.

The first two years comprise core and compulsory subjects along two tracks. On the one hand, students learn scientific and technical expression and rendering tools necessary for the technical execution and development of the product. On the other hand, they are immersed in the culture of design necessary for practice of the profession, project contextualisation and rendering of the product and development of the project.
